Died

Harriet Tubman died nineteen thirteen. She died of pneumonia. Pneumonia is your lungs fill with a fluid and you cannot breathe and you will die.

Married

She married Nelson Davis first. Second she married John Tubman. She never had any kids.

Family

She met her family in her teen years. When she was sent to work in the fields.

Accomplishments

She helped make the underground railroad. She freed hundreds of slaves. She tried freeing a slave at age thirteen. Her owner threw a paper weight at her head and fractured her skull. That was her punishment. She also ran away in her teens, but was caught by her owner’s friend.

Nicknames

Harriet Tubman is called Black Moses by all the slaves she freed. Just like the guy who led the slaves out of Egypt Harriet Tubman led slaves out of slavery.

Master

Harriet Tubman’s master died in eighteen forty nine. When your master died you got a new master or you have another chance to be sold again. And you don’t know if you are going to get a nice owner or a mean owner .That means it is not good to have your master die.
