Theodore Roosevelt was born in New York City on October27, 1858. He was in a Dutch family. He had three brothers and sister. When he was little he had asthma, but overcame it by working out. His family was wealthy and had good money.

Theodore Roosevelt went to Harvard University. There met and married Alice Hathaway. She died after she had a baby named Alice. She died on the same day his mother died. He got married again and had five kids. During the Spanish Amencan he was leader of the Rough Riders. He was named a hero after the war he was governor of New York.

He was the vise president until William Mckinley died. In 1902 Theodore Roosevelt was elected president of the United States. He was the 26 th and youngest president. He also ran for another term in 1904. In 1902 he opened the court of Arbitration.
